Moi my friends,
Our progress has been pretty slow again because of some issues. My laptop broke again, so I haven't been able to post as much as usual. But enough with the reasons for our slowdown. Now, I'll write a little about what this means for AFF. We've hit some walls with the code, and are working on redoing some art glitches as well. This slowdown means we can't accurately select a release date yet, but we will keep you guys updated. I'm working on adding an on-site forum, if anyone would be interested in that. It will be for questions, discussion on your favorite enemies(meese?), and any other thing.

Wes and I are working on the second stage for A Finnish Fable and have added plenty of new stuff to the game. These haven't been released yet, as they're still in testing, but you can appreciate some of them in our screenshots below.
As we test, the art will improve, and we'll update you guys when it does. I've been working on a new song for this new stage as well, but I'll post about that when I'm finished. Our posts will resume in their weekly fashion, but we still recommend signing up to the mailing list here
. We're pretty excited to finally have some more stuff to show you guys and hope you are equally as excited!

Hello! I thought I'd put this in my category to keep the dev blog only for AFF news.
On July 12, 2017, websites, Internet users, and online communities will come together to sound the alarm about the FCC’s attack on net neutrality. Learn how you can join the protest and spread the word at https://www.battleforthenet.com/july12/.
Right now, new FCC Chairman and former Verizon lawyer Ajit Pai has a plan to destroy net neutrality and give big cable companies immense control over what we see and do online. If they get their way, the FCC will give companies like Comcast, Verizon, and AT&T control over what we can see and do on the Internet, with the power to slow down or block websites and charge apps and sites extra fees to reach an audience.
If we lose net neutrality, we could soon face an Internet where some of your favorite websites are forced into a slow lane online, while deep-pocketed companies who can afford expensive new “prioritization” fees have special fast lane access to Internet users – tilting the playing field in their favor.
But on July 12th, the Internet will come together to stop them. Websites, Internet users, and online communities will stand tall, and sound the alarm about the FCC’s attack on net neutrality.
The Battle for the Net campaign will provide tools for everyone to make it super easy for your friends, family, followers to take action. From the SOPA blackout to the Internet Slowdown, we've shown time and time again that when the Internet comes together, we can stop censorship and corruption. Now, we have to do it again!

Haha, looks like Wes is taking too long on those shaders…
In all seriousness though, we apologize for not informing you like we used to. We had some issues to take care of in the real world before continuing this wonderful project and unfortunately neglected to keep you, our loyal fans, informed. However,
we’re back on track and will be until our release later this year. We will
never again leave you guys in the dark, and to demonstrate our commitment, we’ve
updated the site to include a mailing list! Here’s a link to the official AFF
This is important, not only for you guys, but for us as well. You keep us going
and it’s really nice to hear from fans. We’ll email you guys every time we post
on the blog and also to share super-secret screenshots. I've also just put up an 8bit version of Ievan Polka on Soundcloud. Check it out here.
Well, that’s it for this apology post.
Thanks for your support and
The AFF Team

Our New Year’s Edition of AFF is up and you can get it here! We added banana mementos for gorillas
that will be missed, squirrels that are ready for the US presidency, and a boss
for a year that was both good and bad. That’s right, use your archery skills
and the new year 2017 to make sure 2016 stays gone!

Since Wes and I are both students, we've got finals this week. I don't know about Wes, but my college was nice enough to start three of my finals at 7:45am. I am a genuine morning person so this is actually not sarcasm. Anyways, we've both been studying for the exams last week and will do so this week as well. Because of this (and a couple of frustrating bugs), progress on AFF is a bit slow. We will definitely get back on track during Christmas break though.

The AFF Team is very excited to announce that we will now be entering our open alpha phase!
Who cares, right? You can download the AFF1.1 version on itch.io anyways right? NO. That version is 4-5 weeks old. What we will be doing from now on is updating the new AFF_Current build on itch.io every time a new build comes out. YES. That means you will have access to the same version we do. That way you can get your AFF fresh out of the compiler.
We'll keep you posted on some of the other awesome things we're working on.

This Monday we totally forgot about the blog since we were so focused on getting ready for the jam. You can download AFF alpha v1.1 here
Here's a changelog:

-Reskinned all the Meese (mooses?)
